Water temp at Calaveras lake is around 95* depending on time of day. The Reds are good in the afternoons and sometimes spotty in the mornings. I have also been catfishing when the reds are slow. We have been catching some nice Blue cats up to 20lbs in the mornings. The weather is hot but so can be the fishing. The fall spawn for the Reds should be starting here in mid to late Sept.  So go dove hunting in the morning then fish come out to Braunig or Calaveras, fill your ice chest with fish, and leave with time to go out for an evening hunt. What a day!!!

Redfishing is still Great!! Still getting easy limits on most trips. Starting to see some large schools of Reds.

The redfish are schooling on Calaveras lake and are on the move. 4 hr trip, 12 reds. Limited out!
